In Ms. LaTyra Ashley's 5th Grade Science class at Eva Gordon Upper Elementary School, our young scientists dove deep into the fascinating world of matter! We kicked things off with an exciting popping activity led by Mrs. Kim Pumilia.
Students had a blast discussing and observing how popcorn transforms when heat is applied, turning from a solid kernel into a fluffy delight! They also explored the states of matter by identifying butter in different forms and sorting photos and descriptions of solids and liquids.
Everyone enjoyed a tasty popcorn snack to wrap up this fun and educational experience. What a fantastic way to learn about science! 🌈✨
