We are thrilled to introduce three incredible additions to our South Pike High School team! Please join us in welcoming Dr. Jeremy Peagler, Mrs. Valerie Moore, and Mr. Reggie Chambers Jr. to the Eagle Nation family.
🏫 Dr. Jeremy Peagler - South Pike High School Principal 🏫
Dr. Jeremy Peagler brings a wealth of experience with 18 years in teaching and administration in public education. Before his tenure in schools, he was a pediatric mental health clinician in Houston, Texas, focusing on children and adolescents. Dr. Peagler has a rich educational background with degrees from Mississippi College, Houston Baptist University, and William Carey University. He has served as a principal and assistant principal in various schools, most recently at Loyd Star Elementary and Brookhaven High School. In addition to his role as principal, Dr. Peagler is an adjunct faculty member at William Carey University. Dr. Peagler and his wife, Avery, have been married for 24 years and have three children: Emma Claire, Eli, and Ethan. We are excited to see the positive impact he will have on our school community!
🎓 Mrs. Valerie Moore - South Pike High School Assistant Principal 🎓
Mrs. Valerie Moore is an enthusiastic educator who motivates students to develop leadership skills, embrace learning, and foster self-esteem. She began her teaching career at McComb School District and has held various roles, including Social Studies Chair and Teacher Mentor. Mrs. Moore was nominated for the McComb High School Teacher of the Year award (2023-2024) and served briefly as interim assistant principal. She also teaches as an adjunct instructor at Copiah Lincoln Community College. With degrees from Southern University A & M College, Belhaven University, and William Carey University, Mrs. Moore is committed to promoting academic excellence and creating a nurturing environment for all students. She resides in Brookhaven with her husband, Shannon, and their three sons, Tavis, Ty, and Trey. In her free time, she enjoys family time, shopping, and traveling.
🏀 Mr. Reggie Chambers Jr. - Basketball Coach 🏀
Mr. Reggie Chambers Jr. joins us with a decade of experience in coaching, player development, and recruitment. He holds a degree in Sports and Human Performance from Delta State University and has coached at various levels, including NCAA and NJCAA. Mr. Chambers has been a part of successful teams at Liberty University, Arkansas State University, and more. His commitment to excellence and player development has left a lasting impact on every program he has been a part of. We are excited to have him inspire and lead our athletes to victory!
