National Beta members from Eva Gordon Elementary School are celebrating their recent participation in the Mississippi Elementary Beta Hybrid State Convention. They were announced as winners of the following competitions: 4th Grade Social Studies, Christiuna Coleman, and 5th Grade Social Studies, Kingston Rogers.
The EGES's Elementary Quiz Bowl Team competed for the first time since the club's establishment in 2017. The all male squad defeated Lynwood Elementary(100/50), Trent Lott Elementary(100/50), and Leake County Elementary(110/30) for a total of 310 points! The team members, consisting of Austin Abram, Gavin Ashley, Jeramiah Bryant, and Braylen Varnado, are 1st place state champions!
